Yesterday’s experience highlighted just why the airport is voted the worst in England (and voted one of the worst internationally).
When I used to drive from the north west of England to LHR or LGW pre-Covid to catch a bucket and spade flight to somewhere warm (usually with BA but occasionally with EasyJet) friends and colleagues used to call me mad. I’d point out how shoddy MAN was, how expensive the parking was (it was cheaper to park at LGW and pay petrol vs Ringway parking off site in their rat infested car parks - people literally had their cars eaten by rats)

Since Covid LHR and LGW and the BA experience has declined. But on my rare forays into MAN I’ve experienced most of what Ramsey suffered yesterday. Not all together but enough to continue to swerve it again on Saturday morning and brave the M6, M42, M40 and M25.

The airport say they have big ambitious plans but I just can’t see how they’ll implement them.
