We seem to have experienced another variation on this glitch two weeks ago.

Mrs. Fredd and I (both 100K) were 1 and 2 on the UG list for the short SEA-BLI flight. There had been four empty seats in F on this flight for several days, right up to our arrival at the airport. Just as we got to the gate, she was upgraded to F and my name disappeared completely from the UG list, although the names of those below me remained.

We went up to the counter and the two agents claimed to have no idea of what had happened. They offered to cancel her upgrade and to reseat her back next to me. We accepted.

We obviously didn’t care about missing out on the F experience for 23 minutes in the air on an E175, but we would have been more curious had our destination been, say, HNL.

I hope whatever this is gets fixed. We had more than enough TODs experiences on UA over our years as 1Ks.
