Used the GE app at SFO last month. The GE app line was separate from the GE kiosk line, but the GE app shared the same line as EoA so I wound up waiting much longer than I would had I used the kiosk. I probably won't use the app again at SFO as long as you can get stuck behind someone doing EoA (or there's more than one CBP officer handling the line).
