Holiday Inn Lima (Miraflores)
What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
For price paid it was adequate for two nights
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked King standard, which is what I received. Possibly high floor was an upgrade, did not discuss that (as a benefit).
How are the rooms?
Felt like a Holiday Inn Express room to me, bed was fine, as were the chair and ottoman, but not somewhere you'd "hang out" at all. No problems regarding the bathroom
What was good and what was bad?
Check-in was efficient (14.00 checkout offered), room was okay, no outside noise, water temperature and pressure were fine. There was a coffeemaker, though no fridge or microwave.
At times hall noise being relatively near elevator. Room was quite warm when I arrived (23.5°), took a while to cool after setting thermostat. No AC when away, because room electrics needed card in slot.
First day breakfast was good (Diamond amenity), but second the offering and staff were not as nice.
Don't feel it would be worth nearly USD $20 out-of-pocket.
Checkout turned into a farce, better I should have just left without a folio.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Two nights on Points was fine. Location very central by Ricardo Palma station, three blocks from Kennedy Park. Took the blue airport bus from airport, less than 5 minutes to hotel from Kennedy drop-off point.
The bed - power points below easily moveable nightstand
Chair a more comfortable place to sit than at desk - be sure to close curtains all the way to the right to block complete light at night!
The desk - good area to spread out items, but a bit claustrophobic for a work space? Gave me a Holiday Inn Express vibe.
As a security measure, both at lobby and on your floor must tap room key to select destination. Unlike other properties with limited access, there are no (floor) buttons in elevators themselves.
