Name of the hotel: Mgallery Hotel Papadopoli Venezia

- What is your ALL status? Gold

- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Double deluxe booked and received. The only possible upgrade was a suite which was available until the day before we arrived so they were full. Not that i was checking...

- How are the rooms? Nice tasteful venetian styling. I was expecting a bigger room somehow, but the balcony with a rooftop view across the city was nice. AIr con, coffee machine, bath robes, etc.

- What was good and what was bad?
Bad: Room was very dark, even with curtains open.
Entranceway was cramped with the main room door and 2 small wardrobe/cupboard doors.
Look in detail at the furnishings and it's starting to look a little "used" in quite a few places.
Too many light switches for too few effective lights.

Good:
Nice room decor, very comfy bed
Great breakfast
very convenient location near to Piazzale Roma and the station
friendly staff

- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? N/A

- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? 2 drinks received with the key card. Welcome gift of venetian biscuits. i asked for a 3PM late checkout, but due to incoming guests i was offered only 12noon. We declined and just left our baggage after a final walk around and a nice lunch.

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? Especially with an ALL voyager card, it made the nightly average <400euro. Considering the cost of Venician hotels towards the upper end of the scale i thought it quite a good deal. If/when we come back to Venice, we'll be planning to stay here.
