Maybe try again now? They were apparently playing with the authentication server this afternoon.
I was being logged out every other clic on AF.com , pin code took 5 minutes to arrive at each attempt but didn't always work.
They never asked for an authenticator app, but something was obviously wrong. And my FB account profile was "unavailable".
