I was walking the dog along the Lake Geneva this evening, spotting the planes landing at GVA…when I suddenly see a UA B763 coming in to land at approx. 18:00, which is not usual. I checked FR24 to see what’s going on, seems that UA956 (N663UA) on Monday left EWR but was diverted to YYT. At some point N661UA was sent to YYT to rescue the stranded pax and continue the flight to GVA.

anyone know the reason for the diversion, and what happened to the planes? Also seems that the arrival is about 36h delayed which is a lot?Seems like N661UA will fly straight to LHR tomorrow morning to serve LHR EWR, and I guess N663UA was sent back to EWR from YYT?
