It took 5 weeks from checkout to post, and was backdated as they all are, to the check-in date.
I also had miles just post from a “pay later” reservation. In my case, it was an overseas booking and miles posted 5 weeks 3 days post checkout (and 6 weeks 1 day post checkin—which is the date my cc was charged). So still within the 4-6 week post checkout guidelines, but definitely a much longer wait than with prepaid bookings. I have some serious issues with how RTI conducts its business, but they do deliver the miles as promised... eventually. Curiously, the stated guideline for “pay later” reservations with some of the other loyalty programs they partner with is “within 3-4 weeks,” not the “4-6 weeks” we see with AAHotels. They partner with some 40 or so programs; “AAHotels” or “AAdvantage Hotels” may be how users of this thread think of it, but you/we are really doing business with Rocketmiles or RTI (Rocket Travel Inc.). You can see the range of programs by going directly to rocketmiles.com.
As relates to your reservation being billed and handled by Booking.com, RTI, Agoda.com, Booking.com, Priceline.com are all related businesses working under the same corporate behemoth, Booking Holdings. I’ve seen my “AA Hotels” reservations transmitted to the hotels I’m staying via various of these booking entities.
