I was specifically told onsite none of the Heritage rooms have air conditioning. Only heat. The thermostat is for heat.

Echoing the discussion above, the location is excellent -- short walk to either train station, the subway, the hop-on-hop-off bus if that's your thing. My room also faced George St., so there was some street noise but the curtains are really heavy and helped damp some of it out.
The question of air conditioning in Heritage rooms is an interesting one -- I found something on the wall that certainly
looks
like a thermostat (see pictures below), but while I could press the button and change the numbers, I can't say I noticed any obvious effect (so if there is one, it's really subtle...), and the presence of a Dyson fan tends to suggest no A/C as well? It never got too warm for me though, so I didn't feel the need, but someone should probably just ask while on-property

As noted above, this certainly looks like a thermostat control, but...
Complimentary mini-bar contents on the upper shelf. There were two pieces of fudge but I had already eaten one before taking this picture

The shower door is hinged so that it only swings outward. However, when closing it, it is very easy to pull it far enough that the rubber guard ends up inside the frame; it then becomes kind of a hassle to force it open again. I was careful thereafter, but one day maintenance was in the room after I reported a slow drain (which they cleared up) but they also over-closed the shower door.
