I think the earning will be based on what's set for the frequent flyer programme - the online calculator on QR's website would tell you how many Avios and Qpoints you would earn for your flight. For your wife and children, they will earn Avios based on BAEC's policy which is listed on this page:

The problem with family programme is, only you will earn Qpoints while your family members will always remain burgundy. If all of you travel frequent enough to earn status, I think it would be better to have individual accounts so each person also gets the corresponding oneworld tier benefits.
I was told via QR Whats App Chat that my daughter can only become a “full” member once she turns 18, until then she will be a family member and remain Burgundy despite she would qualify for Gold or even Platinum.
