During the aftermath of covid where there were still limited flights and entry restrictions, I once had to spend 14 hours in Al Safwa - I was bored out of my mind after the first eight (including sleeping for four to five hrs).
I second this. Mid covid I had a forced 16 hour connection in DOH and stayed in AS lounge. I managed to get a room for 6 hours, but it was a real struggle to pass the rest of the time and I really regretted it.
