When we went to Al Maha a few years ago, asked a similar questions and had responses ranging from 2-5 nights as well. For us, at Al Maha, 2 nights was plenty to experience it and move onto the next adventure.
Depends. Are you moving onto another safari lodge? Then 2-3 nights is enough. Is this your only safari lodge? Then I'd stay 5 nights for sure. If only to maximize your odds of seeing your favourite animals on a drive, or a fresh kill, or a mating, or any other special encounter.
