And seven years ago, on AA award DBV-MAD-LAX, IB cancelled the flight from DBV they got BA to open DBV-LHR and I flew back LHR-LAX on AA.
I was on a BA Avios ticket CPH-MAD-BOG (IB metal) this summer. Flight into MAD was delayed and I missed the flight to BOG. IB rebooked me without fuss into revenue class on their BOG flight the following day (and reimbursed hotel and taxi expenses from MAD).
