Not much to add to the above: my Globalist upgrade to the Park King Suite was great, and the staff took good care of us. We greatly enjoyed the pool/spa facilities, and the breakfast was a delight. Just a few observations, though: the luxe hotels may be in the best thing about Jakarta. It's not a bad place per se, but it's got little to interest tourists (go to Yogyakarta) and the traffic is terrible. Indeed, we liked our hotels so much and disliked moving around that we kind of stopped sightseeing! FYI, the Mandarin Oriental is nice, too, and if you're not a Globalist, consider that property, too. Cheap on AMEX FHR, and the $100 food credit goes a long way at dinner (better than my Globalist happy hour snacks).
