Taxes added on Reward Flight Saver? (Bug?)

Apologies if this is a known new phenomenon and I missed the news, but it look like BA.com is now asking for a £34.99 one-way taxes/fees for Adults and £21.99 for Children in addition to the previous Reward Flight Saver (RFS) Avios+Cash amounts for intra-Europe flights. It's an additional £191.99 for one-way award to JFK in economy, or £475.99 added to a club redemption per person.

As a reminder, RFS was introduced to significantly increase prices with avios, but with the benefit that passengers would no longer pay for taxes in addition to the incresed prices. Now it seems passengers will pay the increased Avios + Cash amounts and the taxes as well.

If this indeed the new policy, it is a pretty significant devaluation of avios (to put it mildly).

here’s a screenshot of LHR-JFK in Club

update: using a different browser removes the taxes. So this is either a BA.com bug or something lurking in the background
