I liked this hotel. It may be my favorite Cat 1 Hyatt in the world (now that the Hyatt Regency Bali is a Cat. 2). Also cheap on cash rates. As a Globalist, my upgraded room was nothing special, but they did give me a free minibar. What makes the hotel special are the extensive grounds (and, yes, the pool area could use a little TLC), the friendly and helpful staff, and the extremely good food and beverages (included for Globalists). The indoor/outdoor breakfast restaurant has one of the best buffets I've seen, and the selections change daily. It's a terrific place to sample Indonesian specialties, including the local ones. The evening Regency lounge happy hour 5 to 7 has rotating hot and cold snacks, desserts, a live cooking station and open self serve bar. You can make dinner of it if you wish. Otherwise, I'd probably eat at the hotel restaurant because the traffic would not make it worthwhile to drive into town just to eat.

There are probably only 2 or 3 days of sightseeing in the area (including the borobudor and prombanan day trip) so plan accordingly. Personally, as a tourist interested in visiting Java, I'd probably fly in and out of Yogyakarta and skip the rest. This is a very crowded island, and the best stuff is here.
