I was surprised at how much I liked the Le Meridien Frankfurt - the proximity to the train station is both a blessing (convenience) and a curse (loiterers), but even on the inside, the LM was better than expected based on average review scores. Here are my impressions and photos:
Note: I was not offered nor did I ask for late checkout due to my train schedule.
Pros:
- While I was initially upgraded to a Palais Junior Suite (from a 1 Twin Palais), I was moved to a Junior Suite in the Business / Legacy Wing on the top floor (the associate said it would have better AC)
- Given a voucher for a cappuccino as my room wasn’t ready yet (only took about 10 minutes)
- Bed was comfortable - two twins pushed together, plush mattress, covers of good thickness, plush pillows
- Comfortable living room lounger
- Nice view of Frankfurt skyline
- Desk associates were friendly
- Shower pressure wasn’t that strong but had a lot of water flow (still good shower)
- Elite welcome gift breakfast was good - omelets, sausages, good marble muffin, etc.
Neutral:
- Welcome gift was beer (I tried it, still don’t like it) and a can of spicy salt flakes
Cons:
- Some staining on one of the sheets - isolated to the side I wasn’t going to use, so didn’t have them change
