Fare class inventory on flights is going to vary from day to day. Some days it's going to be cheaper to route through ATL. Other days, it might be DTW, MSP, or BOS. DL has a JV in place with KE these days (except to China) where they are doing revenue sharing. So they aren't really concerned about whose metal you are routed on.
