I can't really recommend this hotel, even though there is nothing really wrong with it. Very friendly/helpful staff, and the location is pretty ( where the jungle meets the rice patty), and feels a world away from the chaos that is now "downtown" Ubud. But other than the pretty infinity pool and the spa ( no facilities, just treatments), there's nothing to really to do at the hotel. They organize a few themed dinners with entertainment (the Balinese dancer was enjoyable), but the dinners are about US $40 pp, which is expensive for Bali. The food is the restaurant is good -- fancy looking -- but unexceptional. As a Globalist, I ate better at the Hyatt Regency lounge (for free). Breakfast is by menu, unlimited , and changes everyday, but lacks a lot of daily options. They offer two Indonesian dishes each day, and they were typically only fair.

The hotel offers 4 shuttle buses to Ubud a day, first at 1030, and the last returns at 5. Traffic chaos in Ubud means this 5 km ride can take more than 45 minutes.

I only received a deluxe room as a Globalist. It was fine, but on the small side. Enjoyable outside shower in private walled rock garden. There are a crazy number of steps at the hotel -- don't stay here if you are mobility impaired.

Lack of a Globalist lounge is disappointing, but everyone can get free tea/sweets at 3 pm teatime.

If you are paying your own money, and want to go to the overcrowded Ubud area, I would look for a quiet location within walking distance of Ubud instead of needing the problematic bus or waiting for a Grab/Gojek ride (less than US$10 to town). Hotel is fine if you've got Hyatt points to burn but now as a Cat 3 (I reserved when it was Cat 2), it's not great value.
