In either case, as long as you make sure the hotel has both names it shouldnt matter, especially if in the US. If its international they might not be as flexible, and you might need to check in when you get there
I was asking about the $50 hotel once-a-year credit for having the CSP/CSR card. And it is an international destination Punta Cana for 1 night where my spouse would be checking in and I am arriving the next day.
