Priority Security was likely the consideration.
But agree, YQB is small. If you get your boarding pass via online/mobile check-in, arriving at security 1h-45min prior to departure is enough, depending on if you want to board early or not. Also, it might be worthwhile tracking the inbound aircraft. AC's on-time record isn't great.
