Just stayed here two nights (Fri/Sat) again this weekend and continue to like this property overall — but I have a corporate rate for 32,000 JPY, and would likely have a different view if I was paying their standard asking price.
No upgrade as a Globalist, but there nothing else but premium suites available at check-in according to the website, so this was unsurprising. The rooms are still in excellent condition; the Aesop toiletries are still there and top notch (they even added a bottle of Aesop "Poo Drops" to the toilet); and they still let you take the (excellent) Globalist breakfast either in the restaurant or as room service. The evening reception from 6-8pm is a nice perk (beer, mediocre but passable wine and Champagne, small bits).
Service is generally good, and a few of the staff remembered me from previous visits. I actually find the location to be pretty convenient, and like being close to the salaryman nightlife in Shinbashi.
