You have to ask them to take an authorisation when you check in and they mark it on the key holder somehow. When I stayed they didn't tell me about this either, but the staff member did want to be there so he sorted it out ..
Yeah I get that but it was the faff…… girl behind bar instructed me to go to reception , then when I got there FD told me to go to my room and get my card ( which is on file ), no biggie I just paid with Apple Pay but after a 5 hour drive I just wanted to relax with a beer.
GYM - @ 8am , very poor , equipment old and worn, it was busy too, plenty of cardio equipment but free weights and pulleys was very poor, small room.
SPA - it was good, nice and quiet again small pool but it was ok, sauna was nice but could have been hotter ….changing rooms smart , showers powerful.
BREAKFAST - was good, finishes @ 9:30am during the week and this nearly caught us out , however nice spread, perfectly acceptable.
Will report back later with my conclusion ….
