Yes of course I am -- but that doesn't change the type of Visa I enter on -- or the "requirement" to have a return ticket upon arrival, does it? AFAIK the immigration authorities have no clue if I am married at all -- much less to a Japanese citizen. During COVID I had to provide a recent proof of marriage (Koseki) -- but the way it works in Japan is that they assume you are divorced unless you can prove you are still married -- which was why my wife spent so much time at the ward office every time I wanted to come home during COVID.
