I’ll be honest - LUME is really not my type of hotel, despite having a good bed and good shower. The rooms being so tight (even when upgraded) and the lack of noise isolation are big downers, and I was not offered any a la carte or made-to-order options at breakfast. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Upgraded many days in advance from a 1 Twin to Premium Double (Executive King) - this was definitely appreciated
- Bed was quite comfortable - plush mattress, plush pillows, plush covers
- Shower pressure was good and strong
- The breakfast options on the small buffet did taste good - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, croissant, and carrot cake - again, I was not offered any omelets or other a la carte options as was previously reported (seems a bit limited)
- Was able to get 4 PM checkout
Neutral:
- In-room welcome gift was a tiny jar of apple liquor
Cons:
- Effectively no view with little privacy to other houses
- Bad interior noise isolation - could hear others talking, etc.
- Room layout with furniture seemed sub-optimal and a bit bizarre
- Drug addicts snorting substances in square next to hotel
