As KatW notes, there are only 9 cabins. We stayed in #1, which offers a little more light (very large side window) than other cabins, and the sounds of the waterfall and creek at night (not as noticeable in the other tidal cabins). Personally I think #1 and #9 (a forest cabin) are the ones to go for. Although 1-6 are largely the same and I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over being in one over another.
Every element of the stay was, basically, flawless. Service is exceptional -- the guides, the activity coordinators, service staff, housekeeping, etc. are all at or beyond levels you would expect from the very best 4S or Aman properties. The activities themselves are customized to you during your stay. We basically trusted them to keep us entertained, and boy did they. Your coordinator will speak with you before dinner about the next day, and for us this meant they would propose something and we would say "yep, sign us up!" That included cold water snorkeling with a picnic on a floating table with fresh prepared snacks and bubbly (by the lovely Linea, no less), to sea kayaking to see bears in remote inlets, hikes, restful afternoons on a floating sauna dock, and other such hardships. Everything except the coastal safari was included in the daily rate. The coastal safari is in a lovely modern catamaran boat with everything you need and then some.
Food was consistently exceptional. And not exceptional by remote wilderness lodge standards, but just exceptional, even by NYC standards. Service is not French/Michelin, and wines favour local BC wines (which, if you aren't familiar, you may be sceptical of but are truly much better than often given credit for with some real gems hidden amongst the producers) but in every other respect the food was incredible. Housekeeping is invisible and will service your room as many times as is required to keep it looking perfect. During breakfast. After your first activity if you are still at the lodge. After enjoying the hot tubs by the waterfall. Turn down service during dinner. Towels are always changed, everything cleaned and refreshed, cookies replenished, etc.
As mentioned, the guides were consistently excellent. If anything, they are a step up from our previous visit, and it is noticeable how all of the guides we had had university degrees and were deeply educated about the place and locale in addition to being deeply passionate, with incredible positive energy.
Even little things like ensuring your hiking boots are cleaned and any wet clothing is dried is just taken care of without you ever having to mention it. (Note that the lodge provides wet weather gear, boots, warm layers, etc. If you don't have it, they will provide it. And if you do have it, it may be easier just to use theirs so you don't have to pack it or use any of your weight allowance on it.)
Overall: 10/10. I would give it more if I could. I will stick with my prior comparison that Nimmo is as good or better than Amankora at its very best (Amankora being the best service experience we have ever had at any hotel or lodge). And is therefore our best lodge experience anywhere, ever. The Murray family have created something incredibly special. Not a single corner is cut anywhere on hard or soft product. If wilderness and ocean and being remote are your thing, it simply doesn't get any better than this. Anywhere. We have already booked a return trip.
