Get yourself a day ticket (single or partner ). Take any of the trains in the s-bahn station, they will both take you in about 45 mins to the "Marienplatz"-Station. They run about every ten minutes.

Marienplatz is in the main shopping area and in the middle of pretty much everything. Just walk into one of the bavarian restaurants and order some bavarian specialities (e.g. Weisswurst, as you will be there before noon).
