For KLM-operated flights, you'd need to look for Z class on EF. It's not an "error" if this isn't available, and availability may or may not open up closer to departure. There is no option to waitlist for KLM flights.
I'm aware of this since implementation of the GUC system
For PDX-AMS, I don't see any availability in Nov or most of Dec, but almost every date in January has Z space.

Apparently I will then have to rebook my upcoming 4 flights before 1/31/25 (outbound only) with different routings.
