Got it. However, I was under the impression that complaints are typically filed for the specific flight, not the entire journey. The canceled flight in question was ORD-FRA, operated by Lufthansa (LH433). It's odd because, from what I've heard from friends and family, they haven't experienced any issues with other airlines, such as Austrian or LOT Polish. I’m wondering if something has changed recently.
Unfortunately the regulation covers the entire ticketed routing, what i find odd is that when it involves a EU carrier & a connection within the EU it is still not covered.
