For the stage length that SK has on the far majority of their Europe routes, Delta would only offer a snack basket. So while he did have a point regarding seats, meals is not really one were Delta should complain too much. Only the Canary Islands would be far enough to fall in to the Delta definition of a first class getting a meal regardless of the departure time. E.g. CPH LHR would fall in to Delta's snack basket stage length. Have some crisps and a chocolate bar.....
I candidly don't know what threshold DL uses anymore to serve meals on domestic routes. My recent MSP-NYC flight had warm meal catering, while my JFK-DEN prior was snack basket while being almost twice in duration. Unless the product is domestic Delta One it seems like Russian roulette.

I don't disagree and ultimately it comes down to staff training to stop the behavior. KL does a good job at this. SK doesn't train their staff but perhaps they'll do so with the Business Class stewardesses if they want a shot at success.
