As explained in the archives.

Preferred Business Guest sometimes appears in an account, but its just another wording for "Preferred Plus" member. Your new card credentials will say "Preferred Plus".

The benefits are the same as gold except you do not get the bonus points. Its still 2pts per dollar. Its valid as long as you hold the AMEX (or AAA membership).
