Access at EWR on 29 September? Same PNR, and UA sold it this way (would have taken a flight to MIA on 28 Sept if offered).
Based on my very recent experiences at LAX and EWR (detailed just upthread) I'm going to guess you'll have access prior to departure in EWR on the 29th.
Note that if you're shy about it, you could do exactly what I did unintentionally; proceed to the United Club and scan your BP at the automated gates they have at all the clubs at EWR. In my case, the club gate display actually stopped me and advised I had access to the Polaris Lounge; it asked if I still wanted to visit the United Club, and I was able to press "no" and then proceed to the PL which I accessed with no problem.
