Stayed at the FS recently and had a wonderful stay. TA disclosure: I was on a normal FSPP rate (no special TA rate or anything), but I did find out later in my stay that a friend who knows one of the managers did alert them I was coming. Pre-arrival communication was smooth and quick.
Arrival was the best I've had at any city hotel - I was met at the car door and brought straight to the room for check in without missing a beat - they were well prepared. (I used hotel-provided car service)
All rooms are suites and I was in the entry-level room (I think my "upgrade" was a different view). Room was in good condition, with just some slight signs of wear. Room design reminded me a bit of FS Singapore. No Toto toilet, unfortunately.
Pool was nice on one of the lower floors with some views of the city. Temperature outside was HOT, so I didn't use it too long. But service was prompt and there's a full service bar.
Nautilus bar is fantastic - service, drinks, and food are what I would expect at a luxury hotel bar (but Jakarta does have an awesome bar culture, Carrots especially is fantastic...)
Palm Court was where breakfast was served. It was a combo of buffet and menu. I made friends with Muji, one of the managers, and Novan, one of the servers, who both were super excited that I specifically wanted to try the Indonesian specialties. I got a bunch of off-menu items that were fantastic and they were great giving recommendations and helping around the buffet (on-menu items were great too). They were also more than happy to give suggestions for tourist sites around the city. Only letdown at breakfast was that the pastries were not good at all.
One other letdown was the gym was closed for renovation, and I didn't recall seeing that when booking. There's an option to use the gym in a nearby office, but it's closed on Sundays and had short hours on Saturdays (I was staying Saturday afternoon to Monday morning). They were proactive in offering a yoga mat and dumbbells if I wanted.
Also worth mentioning, if you use Grab motorcycles, they aren't allowed close to the front of the hotel, so you need to be dropped off at the front or rear gate, which was a slight annoyance for me. But similar to some other hotels I've stayed at, i.e. the Oriental in BKK.
Overall, I would happily return back. Jakarta as a whole surprised me. I didn't have much of any expectations going in, but I had a great trip there.
