DL flyers are a cult, you can safely ignore any claims they have to superior hard product. Soft can be better than some others (KL, UA, AA I'm looking right at you) but after Crowdstrike they should be focusing on operational issues. KL too had a complete meltdown, I had the joy of watching it unfold live at Schiphol.
It is not just Delta, AA, and United would also only roll out the snack basket for a length of CPH LHR. Indeed Air Canada is different. But the US and the Canadian market are different.

It was not about the Canaries as such, it was about how many routes SK actually have were you'd be guaranteed a proper meal on the US3. Basically nothing of importance. This would go for most European airlines, yet BA managed to serve a meal (albeit cold) with a choice between London and Paris.

When it comes to space, I find the empty middle seat quite usable, the extra tray table and the seat to spread things out over. I do actually feel I have more options to spread out sideways than the typical North American first class seat. Though in legroom and recline, not doubt the North American version wins.

There are ups and downs to each way of doing it. For the general stage lengths in Europe I personally feel better served by how the European carriers has set it up. But we should be careful that this does not turn in to just a North America vs Europe discussion.
