DH and I are flying UA tomorrow from YYC-IAD in Economy Plus. I am Star Alliance Gold. Will we have access to a departure lounge at YYC? I see that Air Canada has a Maple Leaf lounge but it says it is in the domestic area rather than international, so I'm wondering if it would still be possible for us to access it as long as we have sufficient time at the airport before our flight. (Not sure if these are separate terminal buildings or how complex it is to get from one area to the other as am not familiar with YYC airport.) Just hoping to grab something to eat & drink before our 4hr 20min flight to IAD (on which apparently only "snacks for purchase" are offered). Many thanks in advance.
The domestic area at YYC is nowhere near the US departures, and I don’t know that they’d let you through security with a US boarding pass. Keep in mind, you’re going through immigration and customs at YYC prior to departure.
