To your first question, it's not quite clear yet what they will do with it. I walked through the connector again today, and they hadn't made any additional exterior progress since last time. I will absolutely post more photos/updates when they do make changes.
As for the facade of the 60s, I have to imagine it will eventually have the same gray paneling as the rest of the terminal, but as of now, the only facade work being done on the 60s concourse is on the side that is adjacent to the road.
