I think you should be supportive to your wife, and try to help her out so she can rest her hand and get it to heal, but that's about it. I can actually see where you are coming from, it's an unpleasant incident, you are understandably worried about your wife, but these things happen and soonest forgotten soonest mended really. Is there any benefit complaining about this? The staff member was probably having to juggle being upset about this, apologising and staying professional all at once, and I've no doubt the crew member will take that extra bit of care next time. Would they benefit from being asked about this by management? I doubt it. Would your wife feel better if some Avios were put into her account? I hope not, I would speculate she has other priorities. If UK based, NHS 111 or a pharmacist can help with any complications with healing and advice on painkillers, there are potential solutions for the latter.
