I think your first priority would be to ensure that the burn is appropriately treated. The NHS has good guidance on their website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/burns-and-scalds/

In terms of the BA aspects, I would assume that the accident was logged. You state it wasn't malicious (in the sense that the FA didn't deliberately pour hot water on your wife) but how exactly did it happen?
