Definitely depends on the company. My company's travel agent has said we can use our corporate code for our own personal use, as long as we don't use our corporate credit card.
But even then, most corporate codes are not supposed to be shared outside the organization. I've never heard of a "friends and family" opportunity.
In any case, I'll be watching this thread closely as we have a very strict policy here about sharing codes. If folks want to talk about generally available public codes / options and what works for them it's no problem but please do not share any specific codes in this thread. Any posts sharing codes will be deleted.
