AS markets the 100% miles benefit of purchasing partner flights on Alaskaair.com. It was the most important reasons why I bought via Alaskaair.com.
Yes, there exists "saver" fares but not in the way AS has saver fare (class X). Alaskaair.com sells effectively only Main economy or greater for partner flights. The "saver" fare sold on Alaskaair.com is the lowest priced main cabin economy (seat selection included and higher mileage points) but not the lowest category of QR economy known as "classic economy" (no seat selection and lowest level of mileage points).
When buying AS saver flights on Alaskaair.com it is clear that is what you are buying, but no such distinction is ever made when buying a partner flight on Alaskaair.com.
