If Alaska was selling Saver or Basic economy, then it would need to be sold as or classified somehow as such. AS provides no indication whatsoever that the ticket QR ticket is Saver or Basic during the purchase, and the fare classes don't indicate either. Selling something as Main, and claiming it really was Basic after the fact - that would be deceptive advertising.
The seats were sold as
Economy (not "Main or Coach," and Economy includes Saver and other fare codes (listed in an earlier post), each with its own restrictions. As far as what AS "need(s) to" do and what might be viewed as "deceptive," I'll leave that to the "experts."
