As relates to above, I recently stayed at the Opus XVI (an SLH property in Bergen, Norway). I had booked two rooms, one through an OTA and the second directly with the property (this was before it was available on the Hilton website). I didn’t expect anything HH related for the OTA room. For the one booked directly, I thought perhaps. But alas, the front desk confirmed that in order to receive HH credits/points/benefits, the booking must originate with Hilton. Very nice hotel, would highly recommend… but no points for me!
