The "travel money" cards aren't really popular in the US because any debit or credit card will work internationally as long as it is on a major network (Visa or Mastercard). Credit cards can be used for purchases, and debit cards can be used for purchases or to withdraw money. Presumably you already have such a card, so just inform your bank you will be using it abroad so it doesn't get blocked. If you are planning significant international travel, then you may want to apply for a new card that does not have a foreign transaction fee (such as Capital One) or one that reimburses ATM withdrawal fees (like Schwab).
