Odd question... After the champagne sabering, does the St Regis charge guests for the glasses of bubbly? We've staying in STR's that pour for guests for free while others charge for sampling the goods. Never seemed to be a rhyme or reason as to how that goes down other than hotel discretion.
They've changed the policy here a few times. It used to be free bubbly (like a half glass). Then they switched to some sort of shot of some vermouth or aperitif lavender based drink or something or you could pay for wine. Not sure what it is now.
