As Him Indoors is Gold, I'm able to compare experiences fairly easily and I don't get any more upgrades or better treatment than him in general from BA. He tends to get given more Avios when things go wrong, if anything. Of course, I get the 'special welcome' on AA but that's another soft benefit that never seems to be on offer when you actually need it.

I'm about as far from teetotal as it's possible to get and don't agree; the CCR has space, and fewer toilet queues, but not much else to recommend it in my view. (Maybe it's because there's less to be disappointed by in the F lounge!) I share
Spongthrush's outlook on the bar, and am happy to serve myself and get it right. But there have been threads aplenty on that.
