I think this is huge, welcome news, and I disagree that they've "flip flopped" on anything -- most of the lounge chatter throughout the years has been rumor and innuendo, nothing that they've officially announced and backtracked.

Ever since they closed the (mostly terrible) Airspace lounge, I've been waiting for a suitable replacement. Now I'll actually have a reason to show up early at T5!
