Does anyone have experience at this hotel with paid upgrades? We are coming from Chicago on the day time flight and get to LHR about 10PM. Then going through everything and expect to be at the hotel a bit before midnight. With 2 kids. We are taking the Eurostar the next morning to Rotterdam. Using my 85K certificate since I don’t have any stays planned until it expires unfortunately. Contacted the hotel and to accommodate 4 guests in a room it is £200 upgrade fee, which seems in line with the cost difference of the room.

My question is - do they actually charge this? I’ve had some stays where they quote a fee, but ending up giving it as a complimentary upgrade. Just seeing if anyone has had experience at this hotel with it.
