Indeed, it is an insane idea if you ask me - travel first class (presumably on points then..), but too cheap to get a hotel?
During the aftermath of covid where there were still limited flights and entry restrictions, I once had to spend 14 hours in Al Safwa - I was bored out of my mind after the first eight (including sleeping for four to five hrs).
