I just want to echo anyone else who's mentioned the 50% EQM. As other airlines were getting rid of this policy people seemed to wonder if CO would follow. But once CO joined SkyTeam, it seems logical that they would adopt similar policies about flying partners, since they are encouraging it. Now, both DL and NW have gotten rid of them.
I used to be loyal to United, but since moving to Houston I've flown nothing but CO for past few years, and plan to keep doing do. However, being able to fly on DL and NW flights, expecially internationally, can sometimes be less expensive. I still feel ripped off if I pay $500-$600 for an international ticket on DL or NW, and I'm told that it is still in a deeply discounted class, so I only get half the miles.
Thanks for putting all this together!
