YYC is a bigger market than YHZ, YQB, YWG, or YOW. AFKL doesn't even serve YHZ or YWG. It's far more logical to expect that a broad Canadian promo would cover YYC/YEG than some markets AFKL doesn't fly to.
They're free to do whatever they like with their inventory, but this certainly didn't drive any business out of the Smith family.
I was simply suggesting that YYC/YEG likely have a larger pool of premium dollars to pull from and more business travellers still flying versus YHZ/YQB/YWG/YOW. If one is already able to sell seats at a premium price, why bother offering discounts?
